  • Overpriced and Waaaay overated !! Where to begin ? We went for Xmas dinner 2015. Normally we ALWAYS go to the Wynn or M Hotel Studio B buffet ; both of which are much better and a lot cheaper. The Xmas dinner price here was $52 , a little steep but we figured it would be well worth it. We were NOT impressed. As we stood in the 2 hour line there were pictures of huge Crab claws and beautiful looking Asparagus , neither of which were at the buffet. When were seated I asked about Cappuccinos which I was told were an extra charge on top of the $52 dollars we paid. At M hotel they were included free as were Beer and Wine for 10 dollars less. Here it was an extra 15 dollars for those options as well. When we got in we walked the whole restaurant to check out the selections. Half as many options as Wynn and the M Studio Buffet had a lot more to choose from. Of everything they had to offer , I was only interested in about half. Now just so you know I love fine dining and gourmet experiences , but it was not working too good here. For starters I was looking for the beautiful Crab claws they had pictured in line. They said they did not have any ? I then asked if if they had RAW oysters. They said they did not. All they had were Dry , overcooked Oysters. No options for raw ones. I then looked for Crab legs. They were the smallest looking spindle legs that were just be torn apart by the mob ubtil there was nothing left. The only seafood offered was raw that was sautéed for you personally by the chefs. Everyone was asking for Scallops. They were told No scallops. They had shrimp , snapper , halibut , and mussels. They prepared in white wine sauce. That was good. They had the standard carving station with Prime Rib , Leg of Lamb , and poultry options. Line was 20 deep for that and it was a Mob scene. The only steak option were tiny little cuts of steak in a brown peppercorn sauce on small plates. It was good but Wynn offers whole steaks. They also had duck in orange sauce. That was good. The sushi was old. Mostly huge rice balls with very little paper thin cuts of fish on them. The sushi area was poorly stocked and empty most of the time. There was no Wasabi or vinegared ginger for your sushi offered either. They had goat cheese risotto that was very very dry and needed more mousture. The rice was also under cooked. Next to that was Pesto gnocchi in a cream sauce. The gnocchi was good but the cream sauce it was in tasted like someone had burned the sauce in the pan. It had the terrible scorched flavor of being burned. The deserts were ok. The Gelato were very good. No pies. They had little gourmet cakes that were good. When the waiter asked how we liked our experience , I told him the Wynn buffet and M Hotel Studio B buffets were MUCH better for 10 dollars less , and beer & wine and Cappuccinos are included with the price at M hotel. The waiter agreed with me and mentioned that Wicked Spoon used to be much better when they first opened but they've been gradually declining on what they offered. This was my First and Last time dining here. I am a cook , so this is an accurate review. Do yourself a favor and go to the WYNN BUFFET OR M HOTEL STUDIO B BUFFET instead.
