  • Quite possibly one of the few bright spots in downtown Waxham in terms of enjoying a nice time away from work or during travel. Located just a block past the intersection of the main road in Waxhaw, Crossroads is certainly a welcome stop to relax and have a good cup of coffee and a snack prior to heading back out onto the road and into civilization. No complaints on the snacks and coffee. The double expresso that I had was outstanding. The customer service was superb, and the confines were much more than I originally expected. I sat in a separate room with the most comfiest leather couch I've ever sat on in a coffee shop. So relaxing that area was that I almost feel asleep. Quite a moment, considering that I had just consumed a mighty strong double expresso! I do believe that there is additional seating outside. I didn't notice this too much, considering that it was pouring rain at the time of entry. The bathroom is to the immediate right of the barista's area, so you can hear a bit of "everything" that is going on in that room while you are standing in line for your coffee. Nonetheless, this is one venue that I'll stop in first when within Waxham again. Starbucks who???
