| - We stopped into Dineen the morning after a very long drive to Toronto. As we showed up, the line seemed to have just sprouted out the door. Ugh.. I thought to myself. We're going to be standing in line for some bad coffee and stale breakfast munchies.
That wasn't the case at all.
First, Dineen does a brisk business in the AM. So, while the line was long, they were very good at keeping it moving.
Our coffee drinks were quite good. Starbucks, this is not, which is good.
I don't know if they make their own pastries or not, but they are very good. We shared a croissant a quiche and another item that I've forgotten.
We hunkered in at a table and started in on planning out touristy day. When the two women at the table next to us saw the map come out, they piped right up.. "First time visiting us?" and then we were into a 30 minute conversation about the best places to visit, good restaurants and the like.
They were so nice, it was refreshing.
We liked the coffee, food and vibe at Dineen. I'll be happy to stand in line there again, next time we're in Toronto.
