  • I visited "Wicked Spoon" for brunch, mid-week. (Current pricing is stated on their webpage; however, at the time of this report ... Brunch Buffet: Mon-Thurs = $28 for adults; Fri-Sun = $36 for adults // Dinner Buffet: Mon-Thurs = $42 for adults; Fri-Sun = $49 // Pricing for children 5-10 is less) Service meet my expectations for a venue within the Cosmopolitan, and it was more than adequate for a buffet situation. After paying for my meal, I was seated quickly. My server gathered my beverage order soon after being seated, and she kept my drinks filled. Empty plates were cleared quickly. The ambiance and decor was really pleasant. I found the dining room to be bright and colorful--but not to the point where it wasn't relaxing. About the food: I was drawn to Wicked Spoon because I heard that they had offerings that were different than those found at other buffets --and this is true to a point. That said, I found some of the offerings to be very good, some things mediocre--but nothing bad. On the disappointing side, I think that they offer some items because they feel expected to have them. For example, they had a limited selection of sushi and rolls. It was "meh". The rice was compacted too tight, and was dry. On the other hand, how many buffets served roasted bone marrow? The squid ink pasta was very good, and I would have enjoyed it as a full sized entrée. The grade of the meats at the carving board seems a bit better than you would find at $9.99 buffet. They had small, sampler wedge salads which were very nice. The presentation of all items was excellent. Roughly half of the items were distributed the way you would expect at a buffet, the other half was presented more as a "small plate". In the end, this buffet is not cheap--but it is not out of line, as compared to other buffets within a higher end venue on The Strip. I suggest to get value from your visit, steer away from the cliché items (e.g. pizza, sushi, etc.), and focus on the higher end proteins (e.g. roast beef) and dishes that you don't usually find at other buffets (e.g. squid ink pasta).
