Yes it's small, but that's a reminder of earlier times when markets were not "super"markets.
I shop there regularly as I reside in Cabbagetown. This is a good store; sure it doesn't have all the amenities that the supermarkets have. It's cheap, the produce is excellent; probably due to the fact that the neighbourhood has many old world ethnic folks whom know what good fruits/vegetables are.
The staff is quite friendly and this store has a definite small town feel. If one lives in the neighbourhood it's an appreciated resource. It's clientèle are not exclusively low income, most of the Yuppies from Cabbagetown use the store to.
It's quite an eclectic mixture of clientèle actually. I love it!
