| - I was a member for about 2 years. Just shy of my 2 year mark, so I was given the "favor" of not being charged a cancellation fee because I was close to it. I cancelled for many reasons, and not once during the cancellation process was I asked why.
The pros are:
- it's close to my home
-open 24/7
-has what you need for basics
The cons:
-Community is so lax that employees lose the professionalism and it becomes like hanging out with your buddies instead. It can be good or bad, depending on how you look at it. Employees just hanging out and talking out of line. There's a time and place.
-Its pricey. $65 a month for 2 memberships, that's WITH military discount. No pool, sauna, child care, cleaning crew, amenities, snack bar. Nothing. In addition to that they charge a fee in August to repair and add new equipment. I believe it was around $70-$100. Factor all of that in and the monthly dues are more then the $65 a month.
- The bathrooms were always disgusting. To save the details, picture Circle K/gas station bathrooms. This was a regular occurrence.
-Members get a key fob to enter gym after hours. Many times I had people sneak in behind me. Also, since there is no night crew members were always sneaking in other people.
-Thermostat is kept so low it's hard to work up a sweat and I always had to wear a jacket.
Overall, this place wasn't what I hoped it would be. I tried and gave it a chance. Unfortunately, I switched and will not be back. I prefer to drive an extra 15 minutes for a better experience and better price with more amenities.
