Markville is the biggest mall in my neck of the woods of Markham. I have been going there since I was a kid. My dad would drive us up to shop and walk around.
Needless to say, this mall has changed over the years. It used to have a movie theatre. The food court has relocated from the top floor across from where Best Buy is (the box store used to be a Dominion) to the main floor where Sears used to be. It is a shame that the old Sears store sits idle.
I love this mall. Even when it gets busy, you can still find parking. I frequent Cinnabon to get my baked goods fix. I eat at Pickle Barrel when I have a chance to because I like the spaghetti and meatballs. My optometrist is in this mall. Starbucks, the Apple store, and Victoria's Secret are next to one another. It has the stores that I need.
This mall continues to expand. I can spend an entire day here. The food court has a decent selection of food. I am sad, however, that the old family-run teriyaki place is no longer there. It had the best chicken teriyaki.
