| - I was in town for work and decided to take a little "Me time" after work hours... Feel lucky to get an appointment the day before. **TIP** bring swim wear (sauna) and change of clothes (after appointment)! that's all you gotta bring.
I arrived an hour early but front desk staff were actually happy that I did so I could enjoy the amenities they provide. The store display and front desk was nice and clean. I paid for my appointment in advance, shrugging off the fact that I don't know if the tip I'm pre-paying was worth it (it definitely was for me).
I was then directed to the spa area where smiling & welcoming Ashley greeted me. She asked for my slippers size and handed me one. She asked if I cared to have a tour of the facility and I said yes. She took her time to explain each section:
*refreshments-- they have variety of drinks so it's really nice it's actually open for clients to have as much as they want.
*sauna -- offers different temperatures; bring your swimwear!
*lounge area w/ tv-- I advise that they should turn the caption on since the volume was so low...
*locker room-- they added a nice touch of making a name tag for my locker where I have my own robe.
*shower-- showers are clean and had big bottles of shampoo, conditioner, and body wash!
*towels-- they have walls of towels!!! It was amazing!
*vanity room: mirrors, combs, brushes, disposable razors and towel (for showering), disposable toothbrushes, blow dryers, flat irons, cotton buds, etc-- they have everything!!! they really thought everything through.
I enjoyed a nice shower and decompressed & read a magazine in the lounge area. Four minutes before my appointment, Sara (my massage therapist) approached me and introduced herself. She asked if I need to go to the restroom before my 80-min appointment. We headed further back the spa room and she asked me how she can be of service. Two keywords for her "LA" and "traffic". She automatically thought of my shoulders and lower back... Nailed it!
She gave me some privacy to take my robe off and laid face down.
I received the Target/Customized Treatment. The moment Sara placed her hands on me, it was the PERFECT PRESSURE all throughout... She. took the time to focus on my shoulders and full back. I want to disclose the entire treatment I received but then again, I don't want to spoil it. After the appointment, Sara walked me out and bid me good night. I went to the locker room to change. Ashley and Kara were at the desk and asked how my appointment went. They weren't in a rush to get me out the door even though I was the last client there.
Let me just say, IT WAS THE BEST MASSAGE I EVER GOTTEN. It was worth every dollar. It came down to *communicating* what I want, need, and when it was perfect. It definitely set the bar high on the future ones I will get (if not with them).
