| - Wow what a fanfare in here. From a historic location, to over the top displays and a hologram lady, there's lots of see and do. Who would have known a supermarket can give me the same goosebumps as a museum.
If you've never been here before, make a good hour out of this. Yah, it's just a supermarket, but there's so much more to it. Their goal of creating and experience rather than just a store has worked.
The bread section was overwhelming with so many fresh choices. The cold cuts section I got a taste of all my purchases. Lots of produce, fresh looking and organized well. And they have some exotic fruits and veggies I've never seen before.
But you wonder if the prices reflect all this extra overhead costs??
It's interesting because I suspected this, but still purchased what I thought would be common items at a similar price. We did a price match at the nearest No Frills because AT insisted we buy some produce there. The prices here (and no comment on other Loblaws) was almost double for certain things, despite specials and sales.
I'm curious to see if prices here are inflated compared to other Loblaws.
I spent $66 on maybe 10 items. And at No Frills we spent almost the same for double the items. Generic , I know, but still.
Come for the exclusive stuff and experience you can get here, but remember it's still just a supermarket. There are things you can find else where.
