  • 1-30-18 My boyfriend volunteers at the USO. He was invited to Wayne Newton's Casa de Shenandoah for a dinner and awards ceremony for the volunteers. The place is filled with memorabilia. Lots of history. We got to tour his plane. Even sat in the cockpit. Our dinner was held in his garage. We were set up in the middle of some awesome cars for our buffet. Food was incredible. Chocolate cocered strawberries with glitter for dessert. The Palo Verde High School choir was amazing. Their JROTC had an amazing ceremony of the colors, etc. We got to meet Wayne too. What a nice guy. Will definitely come back and take the tour. I really want to see the animals. Highly recommend if your a Newton fan. Also recommend his show on the strip. Seen it about a year ago. Fantastic!
