Horrible customer service. I wish I could rank the whole company bad in one review. You go in and nobody says anything. There is usually three desks open. The workers work at a snail's pace and they are plain unfriendly.
All you can do here is pay the bill. Ask them to make a change to your services? They tell you call the 800 number. That's right. You can't even make changes to your own services without calling on the phone and going through insane set of menus that insist on numbers you don't have in hand. Then when you finally get a real person on the phone they tell you they can't help you. You need another department.
An example of the insanity of Centurylink happened today. My bill for internet/prism tv/home phone is supposed to be under $150. When I signed up it was $120. Suddenly the bill is $270 a month. So I complain. Oh you need to pay the past due balance first before you can make changes. Ok. I pay it. So I call. They keep my on the phone for 30 minutes and finally get a woman with a strong Indian accent. She tells me I can't disconnect the phone because I need a phone to have Prism TV. So I say Ok disconnect the phone and the Prism. Oh you need to call Prism to do that. Seriously?
So I go on hold and finally a guy picks up and asks all my info again. I give him social, address, phone number, name, wife's name now my social and then he says "What state are you in?" I say Nevada. He says oh I don't handle calls from Nevada. So he transfers me to another department. Finally a person picks up. I verify everything again TWICE. I say I need this bill to be lower. She takes over half an hour to tell me she can save me $20 a month. I say that's not acceptable. I need to cut this bill in half. Twenty bucks is pocket change. Another 15 minutes I say OK that's long enough. Disconnect my phone and TV completely. I say should I bring this equipment into the office? She says no. We'll send you an envelope in the mail.
What a freaking joke of a company this is. Worst customer service ever.
