  • I was contemplating writing this review as soon as I left there, but I let it go, and now that my nails are even worse not that long after, I'm writing this review. The 2 stars are because the staff was mostly polite, that's it. So about a week or 2 ago I got my nails done here for the first time as a walk in. I'm constantly trying nail salons in my area. I get a full gel manicure usually every 2 or 3 weeks. I wanted something very simple. I wanted yellow glitter gels for all nails except the ring fingers, which I wanted white with little sunflowers on them. I did not want anything complicated just simple brush stroke sunflowers. I thought this would be appropriate to request considering it's not that hard and according to yelp this nail salon does designs and they do pretty well. As soon as I asked that of course the nail tech started speaking to the other nail techs in another language, and then said "I don't know how to do a sunflower. I can do a regular flower." I didn't give her a hard time, I said okay that's fine I'm sure it will look fine. This whole time I'm thinking about when my mom used to take me to get my nails done for fun when I was a teenager and they would offer a beautiful flower design because I didn't know what I wanted. And now god forbid you ask for a sunflower? Whatever so I googled "simple sunflower nail design" and showed it to her she said okay. As you can see by the pictures, I'm sorry but it looks like she didn't even try. Even after I showed her pictures. How does one not know that a sunflower would be simple thin elongated brush strokes for petals? I mean really she used the little dot tool that they use to attach rhinestones to glue. This was a bad start but it wasn't until they were done that I realized just how bad. First of all, the color I chose was a light fresh lemony yellow, The glitter gel color. I understand why they have to put a solid color under the glitter but they picked this mustard yellow that I really was not fond of because it didn't match the light lemony yellow of the glitter that I wanted. It seems like she kinda forgot what shape she was doing while filing my nails, especially my thumbs considering the right one is square and the left one is round?? And trust me my nails were long she had plenty to work with considering I had her shorten them. So all those things considered it was pretty bad, but I still paid the $45 plus a $10 tip because I'm too nice and decided to just deal with this set until I get them done again. Like I said, I have gotten gels for years and pretty consistently and have hardly EVER had problems with peeling. Well sure enough a couple days ago they started peeling especially my middle finger, it started peeling on the side and caused my nail to break as shown in picture. I'm not for bashing people or their professions but come on, for that price at a professional salon?? Even my boyfriend said "did she just get her license?" When I showed him. Won't return. Also please note the pictures are current taken today a little grown out but like I said I wasn't planning on writing this review until now because it peeled and broke my nail finally.
