| - My friend's backyard is this strip of businesses. I don't even know why he drove? Lol. We were way due for this so-called monthly promise of getting together no matter what. Life happens. I got children...he has none. So really it's me who has been slacking. Now that I'm done with confessionals...
I show about 936am. There was only another couple who were ready to be done. It is not big in there. Just a few tables inside and one outside. Or two? Dang, forgot. Since we agreed to this spot the night prior...I had all ready scoped the menu online. I opted for the vegan wafflewich--which has tomatoes, spring mix, avocado, and their Tiabi sauce for $5.50. Call me boring, but hey...that's what I wanted! The waffle itself was cooked very accordingly for what it was holding inside it. I wondered if it'd be too crispy/overcooked would the tomatoes and avocado along with their sauce sog the waffle..but no it didn't! I mean, I had it sitting there while chitchatting so it definitely help up. I completely forgot to ask if the waffle is literally vegan, because if not...they should change the name of that sandwich. I don't exactly know what the TIABI sauce consists of...I thought it was rather light and peppery, but it blended well with the vegetables in my sandwich. The vegetables were very fresh and crispy. Love that. If you don't have a sweet tooth or feel like consuming anything with meat, I think this is a great meal choice.
I also ordered their honey creme latte as an iced drink. Honestly, I don't know shit about coffee and lattes. Lol. I just thought adding such a drink to my morning breakfast with the homeboy felt like I was completing the tone. So if you're like me, it tasted like a light iced coffee that's been creamed out. Coffee lovers don't frown! Lol. HOWEVER, I thought it was pretty good. It even sat for a few hours after I left Tiabi (yes, I didn't finish it) and I was seriously amazed it didn't taste watered down. It definitely got my day going without feeling whacked out. I would order it again.
So my friend is on a diet...he had a smoothie! I can't even begin to tell you how sideways I looked at him. Make it a cheat morning and get the Viva Las Elvis you retard!! Says the person who ordered a vegan wafflewich. He thoroughly enjoyed his banana peanut butter smoothie .
There were two people working that morning and they were certainly friendly and humorous. I did think my wafflewich took just a tad long than I'd imagine it taking considering what i was ordering. I kind of excused it because the other worker had just started. Training mode i assume. There were only two things that got me curious that morning...1)I wasn't sure where the hell to put our trash and the workers were in the back for a bit to even ask 2) I see a case for vegan pastries but twas empty? Boo. Not that serious, though. Those 2 things are stuck in my memory bank from that morning. Oh! so we just left my plate on the table. I'm assuming that's the drill.
As we exited a couple mothers with their jogging strollers and one of their dogs rolled in. Dog outside, obviously. Other than that, it was fairly quiet and the place wasn't dirty. If you love waffles, then I highly recommend it! Definitely kid friendly, but I'd skip bringing the stroller(s) in.
Enjoy!
