  • I tried to buy a simple $32 item and used my chip Visa card. I was told I had to put in my PIN number. I thought the idea of the chip was for security and would not require my pin. I have used my chip cards all over but this was a first for me. Needless to say I left without the purchase because I do not trust Lowes to keep my info secure if they do not know how it is all suppose to work. It's a shame because I have shopped here since they opened. I have used my chip card without a PIN number and now I will likely shop else where.
