Several years ago I purchased a beautiful teal wool coat and made the mistake of taking it to Phuong's to shorten the sleeves. They over-shortened them leaving the lining long - hanging down past the sleeves! I felt helpless and chose to not confront them due to the extreme language barrier. So, I stuck the coat deep in a closet not wanting to think about what to do next. (I was leaning towards donating it to Goodwill.)
Then earlier this month I pulled it out from the depths of my closet and decided that with the help of Yelp I'll find another tailor that could perhaps fix Phuong's shoddy work.
I ended up searching for a tailor near my work and found Tailor Shop by Larissa - a wonderful lady who really loves and cares about her work. Her little shop is the real deal with a staging area surrounded by mirrors for fittings. A far cry from the chaotic, disorganized mess at Phuong's.
