| - I used to live here for about 5 years before I got a house. The rent started out at around $700 in 2009 with 2x2. During my stay, the management switched back and forth around 4 times. There was no washer/dryer. In my last year, they started installing these items which I refused to have in my apartment because that would be another cost of ~$70 per month and I usually do laundry once a week. I'm not a princess or a model, I don't do laundry every day to pay $70 a month. Looking at the photo, I didn't realize that they had a gym??!!
In the first few years, while parking parallel in the outside street where the office is out, somebody broke the car's mirror. They broke it vertically so it was impossible to fix. One time, I requested a maintenance and realized they stole my camera and a few hundred bucks in my wallet while I wasn't home. So please make sure to only request maintenance when you know you will be in the apartment. I used to really like the older senior maintenance person because he was very nice and helpful. The maintenance guy who stole my items was a latino 30-40 y.o. guy with maybe mustache. I was sure he stole my Canon camera because I placed that in my room. I wasn't sure how much money I had in my wallet at the time.
I don't know how much the rate is right now but once it was going up to nearly $1000, I decided to move because obviously could afford a 2000 sq ft home in this neighborhood instead of renting an apartment. I just didn't want to fix this and that such as plumbing and etc. After I moved out, they charged me another $200 for whatever stuff, oh well. After 5 years staying there, maybe there was "stuff" that they were referring to.
I'm giving this place 3 stars because this wasn't the worst place I stayed at during my time studying engineering and math, I stayed at another apartment that was very hot anytime of the year and had several bugs.
