  • This was my first time ever shopping for a wig. I went to Nicole's wig and beauty supply store on Maryland Pkwy and had the worst experience. There were 3 people standing around yet no one greeted me nor asked if I needed help. After 20 minutes of trying to locate things, I asked for help. No one showed any interest in helping me although they all heard me ask for help. When a woman finally came to show me where I could find the wig that I saw on the manican, it was no where near the area! Then she quickly left instead of helping me locate another wig I wanted. She went back up front to talk with the other two. Three different times I asked for help and they acted irritated. A young man came to help me next and told me he didn't want the boxes opened. I asked if he could show me the wig in the box and it turned out that the wrong wig was in the box! He stated that that was why he didn't want the boxes opened. I told him that if he hadn't opened it, he would not have known that it wasn't the wig on the cover. Any way I finally made a choice but wished that I could try it on. The manager told me that he didn't want the boxes opened or the wig would be considered used. So I purchased the wig. After getting it home I could tell that it was way too short. I checked my receipt and it just said no cash back so I thought they just did exchanges on unused merchandise. I drove across town to exchange it and was treated so rudely. The young man told me that all sales were final and commented on how long I was in his store the day before with my grandson. He was perfectly behaved so I don't know why that was bought up. I told him that if he had allowed me to try the wig on with a wig cap I would not be returning it. Then he raises his voice at me and says that I could have. I reminded him that he told me not to open the box and he said he remembered but I could have asked to try on the one on the manican. I've Never shopped for a wig before and he knew this. How was I suppose to know the procedures??? And all the while he is yelling at me what the rules are...After the buy instead of Before. Even if I couldn't exchange or get my money back there is a way to talk to people. A decent way so that a customer will return and send more business your way. I will never return or recommend Nicole's wigs to anyone due to the poor service and rudeness. Even a simple I'm sorry for the misunderstanding would have been ok.
