  • I attended the Sunday Portion of the Festival in 2016. Decided to go with the 3-day pass for this year because of the much stronger lineup as well as the fact that I was staying at the Fremont (thanks to a Hawaii package). This is my 3rd major festival I have attended (Hardly Strictly Bluegrass in SF in 2014 & IheartRadio music festival in 2016) but first where I went for all 3 days. One of the best festivals to attend and a lot of variety. Also lots of free swag! Also lots of water stations and lots of people that went stoned (not naming names) lol. The promoters sure know how to market the festival and the location is perfect. Also, you can always check out Downtown Fremont Street before and after the festival. Uber & Lyft (if I needed it) was cheaper because of the Pool system, which makes the ride more affordable and easier to get to the festival. Lots of places to walk around inside. 3 chances to exit and re-enter each day (before the headliners go on at 9). Maps to show where the stages are. Lots of food trucks (if u can handle the wait as well as the price). The weather was a little cooler (colder) than the previous year but it made for a fun experience. Lots of art too. Even comedy and speaker segments (can u imagine how crowded it was for Bill Nye?). Great stuff. The best part that pretty much everyone comes for is the music. They sure know how to bring in top artists on the rise or in their prime. Even artists who haven't been around for awhile coming back and putting on a show! It was tough picking artists to see and it was even harder to get a good spot near the stage. But I made the most of it and it was worth it to see Muse, Gorillaz, Blink 182 (sorry Chance), Lorde, Cage the Elephant, Dreamcar, 2Chainz, Sean Paul, Andrew McMahon & the Wilderness, Pusha-T, De La Soul the list goes on and on. I really got my money's worth (and went on to win some more afterward). Can't wait to return next year! If I were you def. buy your tickets in advance. They even have a Layaway plan if you can't pay in full upfront when you buy online. So many options. Next year I'll even consider VIP.
