I won a gift certificate to Tender at work and was looking forward to trying out Luxor's steakhouse.
My expectations weren't high as I haven't heard anyone really talk about Tender before. I was pleasantly surprised by how nice my dinner was!
We had two male servers who assisted us for dinner which was different for a steakhouse. Both were kind and professional and made a point to check up on our table throughout the evening.
We got a half dozen oysters and a salmon platter to start. I really enjoyed the salmon platter which came in three small presentations: salmon poke, seared salmon, and smoked salmon. For steak I got the dry aged rib eye and was pretty impressed! It lived up to the name of the steakhouse; very tender and juicy. There wasn't too much fat which I liked. For sides, we ordered the asparagus for some greens and the lobster risotto. Asparagus wasn't anything special and the risotto was very rich and creamy.
I would choose Mastro's or Craftsteak over Tender but I still really enjoyed my experience here. I think that some may underestimate how good Tender actually is!
