  • Ok just moved to Wisconsin, have lived in, renovated and flipped homes. HD is fine if you already know what you are doing...in fact just bought a new faucet and sink there...so ready for appliances...drove over...Appliance section is like the Marie Celeste......so I have printed out what I want, could have done it online but sometimes looping in a local store overcomes known local delivery issues (thinking one place I use in north Georgia).......one employee says "can I help you", I reply "I'd like to buy some appliances please", he replies "oh they re all in a meeting, I'll see if I can find someone". 15 mins pass...nada, another employee shuffles past, "Can i help you?", I repeat...he says oh I don't work in Appliance and shuffles off, stops in front of me to talk to another employee, I am ignored. Now my experience elsewhere is, as I mention, the Clayton North Georgia store where I did a remodel...if they are not in that dept they can still order for you...I will not be back...I guess Brother's Main gets the order or I do online. But the store...well it will not be my fist port of call. But the Clayton store is the exception, my experience HD Chicago and Atlanta, same as Madison.
