| - Stop reading this review and go eat here. Seriously. I do not think I've had a more perfect meal in the longest time, if ever. I mean, from the moment we walked in to the moment we left, perfect.
I came here on a Saturday evening a few weeks ago with my friend to celebrate my 30th birthday. The only thing I wanted out of this dinner was a perfect filet mignon and a drink, and that's it. While I appreciate a nice steak, I'm very basic in what I'm looking for. I really only want to talk about the food, so suffice to say the service and ambiance were perfect. I have nothing to complain about, so let's get to the food.
Our appetizer was quail -- absolutely perfect. I wish I could use profanity to explain the amount of motherlovin' flavor on those guys. Yeah there's not a lot of meat, but oh my face they were perfect. The flavor was absolutely on point and they were cooked to perfection. I, at that point, was pretty ready to die. We also each ordered the lobster bisque: I personally thought it was on point, but my buddy said he thought it should've had more texture. My buddy ordered the special that night, which was a buffalo steak served with mashed potatoes and scallops. I ordered the filet mignon, cooked medium. Both were perfect. I mean, I'm an ok cook, but I'm in the d-league compared to the gentleman who cooked our meals.
The place isn't cheap. For us two dudes, our total was somewhere around $200. That total included 2 lobster bisques, quail, filet mignon, buffalo, and we each had one drink. All in all, totally worth it. As a matter of fact, I think I know where I'm going for my 31st birthday!
