| - Granted, I don't know enough about yarn to evaluate this store based on its selection, but I'll tell you what I do know: I've been in quite a few yarn stores, some small, some big, and I've had my share of experiences. Some yarn stores feel like private clubs, where staff subtly let me know that by browsing their wares I'm interrupting their knitting projects. Some yarn stores only have the most expensive, exclusive yarns available. Yarns Unlimited isn't either.
For one, I received tremendously good advice on picking out yarn for a scarf, and the salesperson even advised me away from some of their more expensive yarns, suggesting that they weren't appropriate for what I wanted. Also, while I was there, a customer came in for some help with a project, and the assistance was provided free of charge.
Yarns Unlimited strikes me as exactly the kind of place that builds business through loyalty, and if I lived in the area I'd go back there often. As it was, I made a sizable purchase.
