| - I came here for staycation for this holiday weekend and was pleasantly surprised! The Saguaro was a very nicely decorated and hidden away little gem, not far away from any of the wonderful things that Scottsdale has to offer (i.e. old town, fashion square, awesome restaurants, etc.). One main issue of mine would have to be the lack of staff there seemed to be, from check in, to eating in the restaurant, to check out, there seemed to be the same few employees running around like crazy trying to accommodate to the guests. It wasn't an extremely busy weekend, but the people that that they did have working looked tired and pretty much done. The room itself overlooked the "Calma" pool which is their smaller of two. The bed was very comfortable and sat in the middle of a large and pleasant room. As far as the pools go, beware of the larger of the two, it is bro central, come here in the afternoon and find 50 year old men in speedos who can't let go of the 80s, pool party techno complete with college students, and....cornhole...anyways, saw a couple humping (nbd, if you're into that) in the pool, found lots of hair, and swam through cloudy water after dark, the usual. The restaurant has some great eats and for some type of deal they give you a food credit of $40, score! BUUUUT expect to be spending an arm and a leg on their menu items. Overall, I might be giving this place a 4 star rating to be generous...but I also had a great time and a killer nights sleep...even after waking up to Becky and her friends screaming and laughing in the hallway...a few times.
