  • I stumbled into this store that had the name "Cake In A Cup" on the sign outside. I love cupcakes, so I was thrilled to see that a new cupcake bakery was open in the southwest. I have had cupcakes from The Cupcakery, Cupcake Lane Bakery and Mad Hatter, so I was curious to see how these cupcakes stacked up. I love the presentation of The Cupcakery's cupcakes, but I think their product is not quite the same as it once was. I also think that they freeze their cupcakes before selling them. I really didn't like Mad Hatter cupcakes. The frosting was not very good and the cupcakes were really pricey. I like Cupcake Lane Bakery, but there was nothing really special about their cupcakes that make me want to keep going back. Cake in a Cup has the moistest cupcakes I've ever had. They make each cupcake fresh daily and the frosting is delicious. The cupcakes are only $2.25 each, which is the lowest price for an individual cupcake in Las Vegas. This is a family-owned business and they all seem so nice. They just opened, so the store is not quite done. Once they decorate the store and start getting the word out, this is going to be Las Vegas' favorite cupcake bakery in town! I have tried the Grave Digger and Jack, which are the October specials. Both were absolutely wonderful. As for the daily flavors, the Hound Dog was so different and the topping with chocolate and peanut butter kisses on top was amazing! I also had the Velvet, which was very fresh and moist with a cream cheese frosting. Spread the word, you've got to try these cupcakes!
