  • Opinion: This place is horrible I wouldn't recommend it to my worst enemy! First off the owner hires kids who don't care about anything but themselves and gossiping...so you know the service SUCKS! The owner is a COMPLETE JERK as well, and doesn't seem to know how to handle heavy customer flow without an attitude either. He must not care about customer satisfaction! They don't prepare the shave ice well! Half of your overpriced cone will have flavor but the inside is just plain ice! They know this when they hand it to you and expect you to come back up to the counter and ask for more if you "need" too. Overall Experience: -The place is extremely overpriced, and dirty. The workers never clean off sticky tables and floors. - Parking lot is also ridiculously small. - Overcharged me on 3 occasions - If your store represents the Hawaiian culture, and you claim to be "Authentic", don't be rude to paying customers, and skimp on quality! - The amount of flavor you get on your ice is nothing compared to the amount the workers put on their own little shave ice helpings during work time. I will NEVER go back again, and I will definitely be advising my friends in the area to not waste their time going there either. It's really unfortunate that Ohio's only shave ice is so AWFUL! Want to improve 808? 1. Train employees better or don't hire kids. Petty gossiping about "he said/she said" high school drama shows a lack of professionalism. I don't care to hear about why so and so said "no" to homecoming. How about starting customer conversations with a positive vibe? 2. Look like you're working when customers are around even if you have "nothing to do." If you're getting paid, learn how to make shave ice quickly, wipe the display windows & clean the chairs and windows. Quit texting or posting on Instagram "#workflow." 3. Learn to accept and improve on customer complaints without being overly defensive. For example, if someone claims their order is wrong, you apologize for the inconvenience and make another without mumbling and looking irritated when the issue was on the staff and not the customer. 4. The quality of this place has gotten really awful since they opened. And Yes, people notice.
