| - My mother and I were warmly welcomed. I described my wedding dress preferences, and the owner helped me choose several gown that were to my taste. I found a beautiful designer dress to be perfect and bought it. The employees were helpful and the prices good!
Despite the good dress selection, I cannot recommend using their alterations services. When I went in for my alterations consultation, nothing seemed amiss; however, at my first fitting at the seamstress' house, the seamstress had taken in my dress too far. I came back again a few days later; the dress was still too snug (I had NOT gained weight)! She swore this "never happens." I waited there for her to let it out yet again, trying not to notice the dog sniffing around her sewing room and how indelicately she handled my poor dress. I put on my dress again, and even though the waist now fit, the top was too loose. She tore out more seams and refitted the bust as I waited.
I was very disappointed when I surveyed my dress after alterations. Letting out the side seams (after having been taken in too far) resulted in some snagged fabric. There are two new small black marks on the back, and I picked numerous dog hairs off my dress.
In conclusion, get your dress there, but go somewhere else for alterations.
