  • Meh, not 5-star dining. It's Italian food with a touch of fancy. Nothing on the menu seems to vary off the Italian traditionals. It would have been nice to see a touch of innovation and use of more varied ingredients. The service was subpar. Our server was what my wife called "abrupt". He seemed to come and go very rapidly without actually seeming to care about our dining experience. I got a beer and the chilled glass that came with it smelled (and made my beer taste) like bleach, so I requested a new one. The server poured a little bit in then basically slammed them on the table as he was already mid-stride to do something else. The second glass was similar so I drank out of the bottle after the initial bleachy-tasting pour was consumed. The waiter saw me sniffing at my glass again and just came by and collected the glass and took it away - not even asking if I had a repeat experience (which I did). The wife got the Seabass PIcatta...it was an okay size piece and it was cooked well. The picatta sauce (lemon and capers) was entirely too lemony. Would not recommend the picatta.I wouldn't call it a $36 dollar dish either. I heard Osso Bucco was one of the specials and I can never turn that down. It came out looking great atop fettuccini with a good sauce. The Osso Bucco itself was good but could have used a little more braising to make it more tender as the meat was a little firm. Overall it was below average comparatively. I was a bit surprised when I got the bill and it was $42.
