This place has been around for a long time as a banquet hall / wedding venue. Recently it started serving dim sum daily.
Good quality food, every dish is made to order and fresh. A few items are interestingly "unique" --
Dessert fried sesame ball with a sweet-savory custard filling (vs. the regular black sesame or red bean paste fillings that you get from every other dim sum place).
The taro cake is steamed not pan fried; it has several layers of texture from the slightly crunchy shredded taro at the top graduating down to almost sticky-rice-cake texture at the bottom.
The sticky rice roll is a must-try if you like glutinous rice. White and purple rice seasoned delicately to accentuate it natural sweetness. The bi-colour rice is held in place by a thin layer of steamed dough, quite pretty.
Rice rolls with shrimp is a typical dim sum dish, but these shrimps are gigantic.
Decor is refreshingly "done up" without going gaudy. If you've been to other new-ish dim sum places in Markham or Toronto downtown and are getting blinded by mega watts of chandeliers, you'd be safe entering this place without a pair of shades.
Location is a bit out-of-sight although not inconvenient. If you are in the area, give it a try!
Ample parking, free.
