  • Right now, this venerable streetcar route is split in two - between St. Clair station and St. Clair West station the streetcar still runs, and west of St. Clair West station to Keele, it's a bus (at the time of writing, and for some time now). Service on both routes is frequent, frequently crowded, and has its ups and downs. The major irritation is having to switch at St. Clair West station, particularly if there's one of the monumental rush hour lineups. I must be getting old and crabby, because I hate it when people butt in. Still, I have to admit that the TCC has put a ton of buses on the western part of the route. You may not be able to get on the first one that comes by, but another will be along in a few minutes. I'm looking forward to the completion of construction and the restoration of our streetcar line, now traffic-free!
