| - I went to Blo on a Saturday morning for a simple blow out before my baby shower. I was not looking for anything fancy - I just cannot dry the back of my hair very well on my own. I have wavy hair, not curly, so a blow out is the only way to easily get rid of all of the kinks in the very back. The girl that dried my hair bragged to me about how she is very fast, and she did only take 30 minutes out of the 45 minute appointment. But she really could have used the extra fifteen minutes (that I paid for) to actually dry my hair. My hair was still wavy and sort of damp in the back when I got home, and I had to spend another 20 minutes drying my hair at home. I should have just spent the morning drying and styling my own hair - I would have achieved the same, and perhaps better, results. This was such a waste of time and money. With tip, it was $48 for this girl to dry part of my hair - the part that I have no trouble drying myself at home. And, the salon itself was so hot. It was at least 85 degrees outside and muggy, and the stylist said the thermostat was set on 75! So, with the hair dryers going inside, it felt like 80 degrees and muggy inside the salon. It was incredibly uncomfortable and probably contributed to the fact that she could not properly dry my hair. Very disappointing.
