| - Picture yourself in cobblestone alley with a variety of different restaurants around you, no one speaks english at least until they have to. Then picture a beautiful backdrop of the sky, moonlit and a warm 80 degree night with a light breeze....Your in Europe right ? WRONG you are in Montreal Canada in the Mont Royal neighboorhood at Les Deux Gamins... I used yelp to find me a place, 4 stars or better and once again it didn't dissapoint.
My eating partner and I started off with the Tomato / Basil apps and the fois grois (goose liver), now I've never been a fan of pate of any sorts, but this thing tasted like butter and I'm talking the rich creamy kind you find at a farm at 10 a.m. So um yeah these were good. déplacement sur les, our dinners were amazing, I opted for the steak on the menu with Frites (every thing comes with Fries in Canada) and my eating partner had the Duck. These meals were great, cooked perfect and delicious.
All in all I don't care if they are separatists, I don't care if they are french and they hate America, all I really care is if my food is good. You know what, it is, it was and I'm sure it will be....for you.
I'd go 5 stars, but the service is a little slow, in between getting your water and the server getting back to your table it can be a bit. I think they have very few servers for a lot of people. Maybe they should add some more helpers or an extra server. You want Poutine, go to any bar on St. Catherine's, you want some serious French flare' go to Les Deux Gamins...
Bonjour !
