  • If you want a quality donut in Surprise, then Sunrise Donuts is your place! I occasionally buy a dozen of assorted to take in for work (i.e. health food). Doors open at 5:00AM, and a limited selection may be available...but they are FRESH! Overall, the preparation and taste of the donuts are top notch! Other donut shops (not named) in Peoria, Glendale, and Phoenix are also very good, but SUNRISE DONUTS IS THE BEST IN SURPRISE! The donuts could be a bit bigger, however...not by much...maybe another 1/2" in diameter. This would put them on par, as far as size goes, to Dunkin' Donuts. However, as far as taste and quality is concerned, Sunrise beats DD on all levels. DD donuts have become too mass-produced, and they have the consistently of plastic. Pros: Decent price for a dozen, Excellent preparation and taste, Open early (5AM), super-cheap donut holes (available mid-day?) Cons: Should do a baker's dozen to draw in more customers and provide an over-the-top value/bonus, Size of donut could be a bit larger
