  • The VA Medical Center,was the worst experience I've had in my life. I got a DR. who complained about all his medical problems. Told me about his mother(she was 90) his list of pain pills was very long. I finally said you are nuts. He got mad and demanded I take further tests. I told him again you are nuts. I said if I want other tests I would seek them elsewhere. He then said take my tests or I will call and have your employer suspend you. I called later and complained about. Three days later I got suspended from work. Told my employer about this,got reinstated..Tried to file complaint again,was told he is medical dr.and they were sure he was right.. I paid $4000.00 out of my pocket to have the test done he wanted. The DR who did tests said I got screwed by the VA dr. Was told later the VA was trying to add a new clinic and was getting funding from a medical supplier,who sold the equipment that performs those tests. There is a AZ Statute the gives DR the right to take you job away with nothing you can do about it. Don't let this happen to you Many drs in the VA system are very bitter that's the only job they can get. Pick your words very carefully when talking to a VA dr I purposely did not capitalize dr,the VA does't deserve it Never go to a VA appointment without a witness.
