  • What a nice hotel room! I didn't realize Delano Hotel has all suites and on the strip. It's in the Mandalay Bay and the lobby entrance is next to the Michael Jackson One venue (can't wait to watch this show). The lobby recreates that airy white linen curtains on the columns like the Delano in South Beach. The top floor restaurant (new name) and separate lounge bar (Skyfall) is still here and best place to enjoy the view of the strip. Have to stop by here for happy hour or late night. Great cocktails. Not much food selection but thankfully it is a very short walk to Mandalay Place Shoppes (Rira, Burger Bar, Slice of Vegas), house of Blues, and the fine dining main dining area. There is a food court all the way down the convention center (subway, Chinese food, Nathan's, Johnny Rockets) too. Not many pools are open off season, like here. The rooms are quite nice I must say. 1/2 bathroom at foyer, living room, and nice comfy softer king size bed. Love the master bathroom too! Separate big shower and tub. I remember years ago my colleague got upgraded to to huge two bedroom suite here too. See my photos under Mandalay Bay for that huge suite. Overall, I'd recommend this place for people that want a bit more upscale decor and environment and a suite place to stay at.
