  • This is a donut shop that deserves the hype of a near perfect 5-star review average and everything that goes with it. I was blown away by the sheer deliciousness and variety! I have never claimed or said aloud that a donut taste better than my hometown's Shipley's donut. There's nothing like that crusty sugary glaze on this planet. But I have to be honest, The Local Donut offers something I've never had at Shipley's... a Creme Brulee donut. *be still my beating heart... calm yourself* The sheer thought of my favorite desert co-mingled and intertwined with a delicious donut makes my heart skip a beat and my mouth water. This donut shop is located in the most unassuming strip mall of shops. I've driven past it a few hundred times, maybe more and have never paid any attention to it... until the Local Donut opened shopped. Who would think to open a donut shop almost catty-corner to a dunkin donut? I mean, what locally owened establishment would take them on? *you guessed it*..... TLD! Yes... and in my opinion... the knock them so far out of the water that I don't think I'd ever think of going there to get donuts again. Retrun Factor 100% Go people... GO!!!!
