| - The good, the bad, and the really ugly.
First, the good. The room was clean, the bed was comfy, towels were fluffy, and the free morning hot breakfast was decent. The sweet lady who stocked the breakfast area worked her butt off. There were eggs, sausage, fruit, waffles, oatmeal, cereals. Terrific.
Then, the bad. The room we were given was right next to the lobby and breakfast room--really, this needs to be an area for housekeeping, not a hotel room--and so I was subjected all day and night to doors slamming, people talking loudly at the ice machine, the sound of the ice machine, and in fact, people talking loudly all day and all night.
The ugly. There was some kind of middle school sports team the weekend we were there. They were constantly out in the lobby, extremely noisy until fairly late at night, and this noise went on very close to the front desk, nobody--not the desk clerks, not their chaperones--suggested that they be quiet. They were allowed to wonder through the downstairs area without any correction, run in and out of the doors, slamming them behind them. Honestly, the noisiest room I have ever stayed in in my life.
Update: I left a jacket behind and they were totally cool about it. Usually I never see stuff again when I leave it. Very nice people. (But seriously. Soundproof those rooms)
