Was driving on State Rd. and decided to look for some quick breakfast grub to go. I passed by Royal Donut and saw their sign advertising their Pumpkin with Cream Cheese donut. It intrigued me, but I didn't really want donuts for breakfast, so I kept driving. As I moved forward, I wasn't really seeing anything that caught my eye... I wasn't interested in BK or McD's, or the like either. Instead of driving around aimlessly, I decided to turn around and succumb to my intrigue with the Pumpkin Cream Cheese donuts. I decided to get a dozen so I can bring some home for the family to try. I was disappointed to find that these donuts are considered "specialty" and does not count in the dozen offer. I asked how much they were and was told they are $1.50 a piece or 6 for $7.50. Wow! Okay, fine... give me half a dozen. When she put them in the box, I noticed that they're cake donuts, which I'm not crazy about. They sliced them in half and filled the middle with cream cheese... like a bagel. So I tried one right away and was not disappointed. They were pretty good. Not sure if it's something I'd make a special trip for, but would definitely try again if I'm in the area and in the mood for donuts.
