| - I came here for a standard oil change and was hoping it'd be just the normal run of the mill procedure; get in, have the oil change, leave, and come back when you need your next service. This was not the case. Started off normal but once I got home and was checking on my headlights, I noticed the cap for the coolant reserve tank was missing. At this point it was too late to call the shop so I waited till they opened. Called and it seemed like it would be a simple fix, I wasn't even mad I just wanted it fixed. I get there and I believe he was the manager starts talking to me and I wish I had gotten his name, but his comment to me (no joke) was "Well I didn't personally see that there was a cap there, so it probably was missing before you came in." I'm not a car genius, heck I'm not even a novice at best but I do pay attention to my car and what's missing or broken. This was the moment I started getting mad. I'm sure if I was a man or had my boyfriend with me I wouldn't have continued to be spoken to the way I was. As he continues to talk with a condescending tone he told me he would still take care of it and replace it even though he's pretty sure it wasn't their fault. This guy was acting like he was doing me a favor, THEY LOST THE CAP, I didn't. These guys are always trying to upsell you on everything so if it was missing when I got there they should have noticed! Heck, if they checked all the fluids on my car like the paperwork says they did they would have noticed! Trying to just get it dealt with I sit down and wait for the cap to be delivered. After 45 minutes of waiting this guy comes back in and tells me that none of the Auto Zones around have this cap. They misheard what he said and they thought they needed the radiator cap. I left without the cap to the coolant reserve and was told if i wanted to go find the cap and bring the receipt back in they'd still refund me the cost of it. Ummm....excuse me! This place is a joke and a huge reason I hate dealing with any kind of auto shops. They take advantage of you and treat you like crap. So I paid $80 for an oil change and now I get to go find a cap that they lost. Thanks Jiffy Lube.
