My tooting of the Hampton Inn horn is long overdue. I've been staying here off and on for years for work out in the desert. I wouldn't recommend this hotel for anything other than working at the DOE Test Site or Air Force base, as it is far from anything, but for those people it's perfect. It's about as close as you can get to head out there in the early morning hours. It's also nearish to Starbucks.
My biggest compliment is for the staff. They are very quick to fix anything that may be broken or a problem (read: within minutes). They have also shipped me my toothbrush when I left it (at my expense, granted). They regularly hold my food delivery in their fridge prior to my arrival, one time even holding it for a whole day! I once had credit card issues and they allowed me get it fixed and ran my card the second day. They also regularly accept my 3rd party credit card billing.
All in all, very helpful staff and the rooms are just fine and have a fridge! The treadmill was broken for a long while but they finally got it fixed and the workout room TV is funky but it works. They've raised their govt rates recently and don't honor the Nye County per diem rate (like they used to) if that's your allowance, but it's not too expensive.
One complaint Hampton. Change the damned pillows. They suck suck suck. The room fridge doesn't always work, either. Some of them turn off at night which makes me very timid of leaving my food.
