| - I'm updating my DTV review.
I left DTV about two months ago. I had called into them to bundle my internet (Century Link) and cable (Direct TV). The woman I spoke to said she "took care of everything" and gave us a "great deal" on our service. This was FAR from accurate.
Turns out, this woman opened a second Century Link account under my name and address with the "bundle". She even told me that a Century Link service tech needed to come out since we were upping our internet speed. I didn't think twice about it but when the tech arrived, he was confused as he thought I was getting new service. After clearing the air with him, I didn't think twice THEN either, which was completely my mistake.
It wasn't until I received two separate bills in the mail from Century Link that I called in. It took about two weeks and about 30 different phone calls to multiple Century Link reps to figure out what happened. At first, I was upset with CL thinking it was their mistake, but I quickly corrected myself when I realized that the person who opened my second account was the DTV rep! Then, even after figuring out there were two CL accounts and my payments had been going to one, there were STILL issues with merging accounts. Once the problem was resolved, I left DTV and took on Century Link's Prism TV. I pay $85 for internet and TV (MORE channels than DTV) and CL even gave me credits for all the drama...even though, technically, it wasn't even there fault. i was HAPPY to give CL my business!
