  • I had a wonderful time at Monterey Bay Fish Grotto. Obviously I expected amazing food, a spectacular view, and exquisite service. They exceeded my expectations in every regard. My date inquired about a substitution and the server was very accommodating. Not only that but a manager also followed up and made an additional recommendation. The brandied shrimp with tagliatelle and cream sauce is the best pasta dish I have ever had. The cream is light, well-balanced and vey flavorful. The shrimp is prepared butterflied and there is a generous portion. The pasta is served al dente (of course) but is also clearly freshly prepared. My date enjoyed the halibut with a jerk seasoned preparation. Also was very good. There is zero reservation about dining here and I look forward to my next visit.
