This was my first time at Delux. I went on a Wednesday evening for dinner. The place has a cool vibe - very Queen West. The place is quite small - if you're not sitting in a booth (which there were only 3 or 4), then the tables they have are literally 1 foot away from each other. If you're fine with getting cozy with your neighbours, then try this place out.
We started off with the Charcuterie plate for starters. $20 for a large (recommended for 2 people) and the pates and cured meats were delicious. The toasted bread that came with it were perfectly crisp on the outside and slightly soft on the inside. It was a lot of food for 2 people, and it only came with 8 small triangles of bread, so there was a lot of meat left over.
I had the pressed Cubano sandwich for $15. The smoked meat was moist and flavourful and the chipotle mayo and grainy mustard was delicious and really added that extra oomph. It came with fried plantain chips (or maybe bananas, I'm not sure).
My friend had the pork belly (lots of fat on the cut of meat they give you). I can't comment on how it tasted, but he said it was delicious.
Service was great - our server was very informative about the menu items. They were very attentive and prompt on refilling my glass of water, especially since they had to do it about 6-7 times (I drink a lot).
Although I do think the items are bit on the pricier side, I would return again.
