PROS: Great food (if the pasta is not made in-house it is certainly made nearby daily! yum!). Very good service. Romantic setting. A few outside tables.
CONS: (1) The vin santo was served with pre-packaged biscotti (the individually wrapped sort from Costco)!! :( SHAMEFUL! Given that the name of the establishment is Vin Santo, the vin santo itself should have been served with the proper biscotti!! (cantucci). I was SO disappointed with this. It is a very expensive restaurant - and they skimp on the drink they are named for, geez. (2) The owner has an attitude, she is somewhat snooty. (3) A bit overpriced. It is excellent food, but still, let's not be ridiculous. (4) Arrabiata sauce has cream in it! Not only is in not traditional, it does not taste as good as classic arrabiata. (5) The caprese salad was not made correctly.
-I think Italian restaurants which SAY they are traditional Italian should make at least the classic dishes correctly.
Little tiny bar in the middle of the restaurant is...interesting.
Great for dates, bad for kids or teens.
