| - Outstanding!
My wife and I arrived at around noon and were greeted with smiles and seated immediately. The atmosphere of the place was warm and welcoming, with a nice soundtrack of Italian music playing in the background.
We started our lunch with a Misto antipasto, which was excellent, consisting of two kinds of prosciutto, salami, two kinds of cheeses, olives and pickled zucchini, and accompanied by a delicious focaccia bread. We ordered a pizza each - the wife had the "Quattro Formaggi" (four cheeses), which she loved, and I had the "Settebello", which was topped with crushed tomatoes, pancetta, sausage, roasted mushrooms, toasted pine nuts, mozzarella, basil and extra virgin olive oil. I'm from New York City, born and bred there for 40 pizza-eating years, so I'm very critical of pizza in general, but I can say that this was, by far, the best tasting, most authentic pizza I have ever had outside of Italy.
Fantastic pizza aside, what really made the visit worthwhile was our server, Tam, who treated us as old friends even though we had never been there before. He patiently explained everything on the menu, answered our questions, made great suggestions and never left us hanging or wanting for anything. This was our first time here, but it definitely won't be our last!
