| - Great haircuts for an incredible price! $8 for short hair, $13 for long hair and $6 for kids. I've come here for about ten haircuts and have never been disappointed. All the staff is Chinese and speaks Cantonese, though they are all, at a minimum, workplace-functional in English, so don't worry if you don't speak Cantonese. The downside (or upside for some) of the language barrier is you might not have much interaction with your stylist, aside from initially describing what you want from your hair.
The clientele is very diverse, so don't think this is an exclusively Asian/Chinese place specializing in fob styles. They can do everything from conservative office cuts for the middle age man/woman to trendy/edgy styles that people go to higher end salons for. They also do colouring for $30-$40, but I've never had that done so I can't comment on the quality.
I've never waited more than ten minutes for a cut because they are always well staffed, and though the service doesn't always come with a smile, I'm here for an $8 cut, not an engaging conversation. My favourite stylists are Sandy and the really skinny guy (possibly the owner?). The guy in particular is super speedy with his cuts and they always turn out great!
Remember to bring cash, because they don't take any cards! And don't forget to tip either - your $8 cut was super cheap, but it took no less effort than the $20/$30 cut you'd get elsewhere.
