  • Oh contraire to all the negative reviews posted. Today was my first time visiting Nespresso. I had just gotten a machine over the weekend, and wanted more pods. At first glance, the boutique is very posh and elegant...not something you would expect from a store for coffee and espresso...but I felt as though I had walked into Chanel. All of the clerks were tied up with guest, so I walked around, looking at the neat, minimalist decor of the store. Looked at the machines, accessories and displays, and then my eye caught the "Tasting table" (got a little giddy inside). The tasting table allows you to try any of the flavours in espresso, cappuccino or latte form...your choice...and its a full serving. I loved that. At first, I felt a little ignored, as all the clerks where helping other guest. But I waited a little longer and was helped by the next available clerk. I had tried the limited edition barista blend in Chiaro...a little to light for me, so the clerk asked if I wanted to try the Scuro...which was a few levels higher than the chiaro...an in-between for barista blends. Found that one to be more to my liking. Spent time chatting with the clerk, she was really nice, and helpful. Told her that it was my first time here and she explained to me how the store works, all about Nespresso's recycling program for the pods, and their contributions to sustainability and giving back to the farmers that they source the beans from. She was very informative, and what she didn't know, we was able to get another associate to help me. We looked at all the accessories they have to store the pods, and pricing of each. Even showed me ones that weren't on display...too big to display. Even how to adjust another to make the holder I was looking for. They are very knowledgeable and friendly! I bought the capsules, that I needed, and even the barista Scuro, that I tried. The clerk even gave me the recycling bag to put my pods in to bring back. I would definitely go back again. I loved their service and the knowledge...free espresso doesn't hurt too...lol, only kidding. BUT it's really good espresso!
