So I'm giving my neighborhood beer store two stars. I hate to do it but sometimes it's warranted. They have a nice selection of beers with competitive pricing. However, customer service is lacking. Look it's a beer store I know what I want when I go in. But is it too much to ask if the hipster dude at the register to put his phone down while taking my money or when I have a question about an advertised sale only to learn they've been out of the sale product for weeks and haven't taken the sign down? I'm all for playing on your phone at work during lull times. But put it down when someone is checking out! This has happened more than once with the same employee. Luckily now when I need beer for a party, etc. I can also walk to Getgo on Baum Blvd where they have a good beer selection at decent prices with much better customer service.
UPDATE: Gotta say service today was above and beyond!!! Of course it wasn't the same guy. This fella went out of his way to make sure my boyfriend knew about the limited edited New Belgium folly pack containing the rare Ben & Jerry's Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough beer. It's perfect for our holiday party this evening. Service was so much better than recent trips. So very happy now. Star rating is going from 2 to 4!
