  • Finally they have a beautiful dealership, this one is way, way, 10 x's better than the one they had on Tom Hunter. But unfortunately like the old saying goes, take one step forward and two back. So I stopped in to have service done in my vehicle and soon as I pulled up I could tell things were about to go south. There was a service advisor outside who I have seen before at the old location (Tiffany). She, walked up to my vehicle before I could even put it in park, to ask me what I was having done. They close at 6pm and this was around 4:30pm. The tone and vibe she put off suggested, depending on what I was going to have done she was going to tell me to come back another time. I was only getting an oil change and my tires rotated/balanced so she told me to come in in. I had a coupon, which included an oil change and tire rotation. I ask how much would I need to pay to also have the tires balanced. The advisor, I was working with didn't know so the advisor next to her (Kim) and said $39.95. To me that seemed high because they would already have the wheels off, to do the rotation which was included in the coupon. I asked to speak to the service manager and a guy name (Mark) showed up. Only he said $59.95 or $79.95 depending on which one you choose. I questioned him because his answer wasn't the same as Kim's, to me it was still high being the tires would be off the car already and now that was three different figures. When I questioned him, Mark response to me was "well I am not sure, being I don't price things, that's why I have advisors". I tend to get very bothered when someone lies to me or insults my intelligence. If you don't know say you don't know and don't just start pulling random number out of the air, especially when we talking about my money. So I call over to the Parks Huntersville location and guess what? Yep, another piece a lady name Kat, said it would be $29.95. She went on to explain that it is $39.95 however, being the tries would be off any way for the rotation included in the coupon that takes it down! Kat is the winner because that makes perfect sense. Still at the dealership waiting on the car, I call and speak with the GM and his name I can't remember. However, I have dealt with him before. Great guy! He was great last time and this time. He speaks to me on the phone, then he tell me to hang thighs he will walk over to the service lane to chat in person. He simply walks over, shakes my hand and tells Mark to make me happy! Wow great service in my opinion. Mark, then admits he was wrong for pulling a random number out of his a$$ and asks me what I would like to do to make it right. To me it's not about money it's about service. How many other people has he done this to, what about the sweet old lady that doesn't know any better, what about the folks that trust Parks and never question it??? Mark still insist, that he doesn't stay abreast on the pricing because he has a lane manager. Well my question to mark was, how can you lead a team if you don't even know what's right or wrong. No I didn't get anything free, because it wasn't about that. It was more so about doing the right thing, which is to train his people right so that his team can treat the customers right. But first in order to do that he first has to educate himself. Not only do they give out random prices they also quote the higher of the two services with is $79.95 vs. $39.95 and don't even tell you about the lessor of the two unless you prob them for exclamations. I even had my wife call and ask the price of the service (tire rotation/ balance) and she was quoted $79.95, the $39.95 option was never mentioned. I think it should be the customers choice which one they would like to have not Marks! So be weary, know what you are getting, call around and price compare etc. if you are like me you work hard for your money and every dollar is an important one. Don't be a fool! I am giving three starts because the General Manager is awesome and the new facility is amazing! Cameron was the tech listed on my paper work and he was to lazy to remove the sticky residue from the old weights after my tires were rebalanced. Also he did a GM Multi point inspection and it's my guess he marked everything OK without actually checking. The reason I say this is because my truck is fairly new and everything was checked okay with the exception of my air filter. I just changed it, however I know it's a common thing most people forget so he marked it requires further attention.
