I brought my 10 year old cat early Monday 7/24 around 3am. She was breathing so heavy and had been howling ( yes howling ) for a little while at home. She was admitted with rapid resp, rapid heart rate and was to be put in a oxygen kennel, Lasix was to be given and a sedative. She spent the entire night there. I called twice to get an update. I never got an actual call till 1130pm Monday night. The Vet ( who was nice ) on the phone said my cat had bad DJD and that it was pretty late to pick her up. I decided just to keep her there till morning. I asked how much urine output was noted. Not one person could answer this for me. I then asked when is the last time she peed. I was told that my cat had not voided since 9am !! No one thought this was odd?? I asked for a UA d/t no output. I was also told that my cat was nervous, anyone that I did manage to speak with just told me she was nervous. Did anyone look at this poor cats pupils ??!!! Did anyone think that her high Na+ level and rapid breathing were a combination that is deadly ? My cat was put to sleep 7/27. Her pupils were non reacting to light. This is a major sign of a brain tumor. High sodium levels and low K+ levels and no output, nervous and rapid irregular breathing. They told me she possibly had CHF. She had a full bladder and no output, dilated pupils and was working to breath. I feel like this place just took my money when they could of just put her down. She suffered that whole night. She couldn't even walk halfway through after I brought her home. Drinking like crazy and NO OUTPUT! I'm not saying they could have saved her. But, they could of at least ended her suffering. Nope. I paid a lot of money for her overnight stay. And three vets all said different things that were wrong. Again! Did anyone Check her pupils ?! She was put to sleep at 11am 7/27 and suffered from the 24th. This is not right in my book.
