I LOVE this venue and cannot WAIT to see another show here.
We came here for a show in the Capitol Theater. The theater blew our minds as we didn't really know what to expect. We were convinced that it was a new theater made to look old. I had to ask an usher about the history and was told that it was restored to it's original state (1920s). Stunning. Really.
Being from Milwaukee I am in love with the Pabst Theater. It has amazing acoustics and is a piece of history. It too has been restored, and has a similar feel. But the difference is that in the Pabst you feel a bigger sense of intimacy and grittiness and in the Capitol Theater you get this sense of grandeur and elegance.
The acoustics were fantastic... and I honestly don't think there's a bad seat in the house. We planted ourselves in the balcony - and yet I felt so close to the performer.
Like I said. I. Will. Be. Back.
Bravo!
